Dockit for iPhone and Android
Dockit has no account, no sign-in and no server of ours. Your scores, your streak and the name you type stay on your phone. The single exception is the rewarded video you can choose to watch, which is served by Google. This page says exactly what that involves.
Who is responsible
Dockit is published by replusminus GmbH, Switzerland, which is the controller for the data described here. Reach us at hello@replusminus.com.
On the App Store and on Google Play, Dockit is listed under the developer name Frank Pimenta. It is the same team and the same company — the stores show the account name, this page names the entity responsible.
What stays on your device
- Your settings, your chosen difficulty and your helper allowances.
- Your best score, your kept runs and your daily streak.
- The name you type, if you type one. It is shown beside your own scores on your own device and is never transmitted.
All of it lives in the app's own storage. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it, and Clear data in Settings wipes the same things without uninstalling.
Your purchase
Dockit Pro is a one-off purchase handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details. The app stores a single yes/no flag saying whether the purchase is active, so it knows which tier to run before the store answers. Clearing data does not revoke it — Restore brings it back.
Advertising — the only thing that leaves
Dockit shows one kind of ad, and only when you ask for it: a short video you can choose to watch to continue a run that has ended. There are no banners, no ads between boards, and nothing that plays on its own. If you never tap CONTINUE, you never see one.
Those videos come from Google AdMob. To serve them, measure them and pay for them, Google receives:
- your device's advertising ID;
- your approximate location, worked out from your IP address — not your device location, which Dockit never asks for;
- how you interacted with the ad: that it was shown, watched or closed;
- basic diagnostics about how the ad performed.
Google uses this for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention, as set out in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google is an independent controller for it, and may process it outside Switzerland and the EEA — including in the United States — under the safeguards described in its own policy. Nothing on that list ever reaches us.
Our legal basis is your consent wherever consent is required, and our legitimate interest in funding a free game where it is not.
Your choices
- Never watch one. The video is opt-in. Declining costs you nothing — the rest of the game is identical.
- Change your mind. Where you were asked for consent, you can change that answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the app. Withdrawing it means the videos are not personalised.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID. Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads. iPhone: turn off Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Neither changes how Dockit plays.
If you live in California or another US state with similar law, the controls above are also how you opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.
Your rights
Under Swiss and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a supervisory authority — the Swiss FDPIC, or the authority in your country.
In practice we hold nothing to give you: there is no account, and we receive none of the data above. For the advertising data, those rights are exercised against Google through its privacy policy, or by resetting your advertising identifier as described above. Children
Dockit is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children, and it is not in Google Play's Designed for Families programme or Apple's Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If Dockit ever collects something new, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date below will change. We will not quietly widen what is collected.
